What did the dealer "throw in" on your H3 purchase?
My 06 with my extra options was $42,000 at Sewell Hummer TX. They discounted it to $40,000. I asked that they throw in the rubber mats, security shade (for the back), and the tire cover--and it would be a deal. They agreed. Then I asked for the rebates: GM end-of-year ($2K), military ($500), and GM Credit Card ($7500; old card which lets you use more than $500). It came to $30,000 then a bit more for taxes, tags, etc. The salesman even went out of his way to drive it to the shipping port, turn it in (with all my supplied paperwork) to the overseas shipper, and get a ride back. The latter effort by my salesman is easily enough to make me return to Sewell. If I was still in the TX area, they seem to have a lot of things going on also. Sewell sends out this little newsletter too.
Sorry, it was more an incentive vs. a rebate. To get it, you wait until they offer them. HUMMER.com will typically let you know what they being offered and how they apply. In ref to mine, it was their end-of-year one they offered Aug 06 to begin making the dealerships ready for the 2007 models.
It's really interesting to see what deals were made out there when buying a Hummer.
When I bought mine, I checked around the city and my choice was down to Sewell in Dallas and Frant Kent over in West Ft. Worth. All the dealers were good folks, no pressure and they knew their products well.
Bottom line was I could have had the same deal from any dealer here in the Dallas Metro area.
I opted to go with the guys over in FW. It kept money in my county where I reside and they had the slick pinstriping with the word HUMMER on the air vents on the hood corners, that was really the main reason I went with the dealer I did.
I'm also happy to see that my experience (very positive) wasn't unique.. It's good to see that most others here on the forum had a very positive experience when buying their Hummers.
I was a little lucky that my company gave me a GM Supplier Discount, but I think I would have bought it without my company's help. It's not too hard to find one online or from a friend.
Buying a new vehicle normally is a hassle and boy have I had some bad experiences in the past but I can honestly say that buying my 07 H3 was hands down the easiest large ticket purchase I've ever made.
Also, glad to see how popular this thread has become. Hopefully it will continue to grow as new Hummer owners arrive here on this forum just like I did and tell us their story. Equally, I think that potential buyers of a Hummer can read through this thread and maybe negotiate a better deal after seeing what hundreds other Hummers owners have done.

I just bought an H3 from Sherman Oaks Hummer in Los Angeles and I have to say it was the best buying experience I've ever had. I just bought a BMW about 6 months ago as my primary car and I thought that was the best buying experience I've had. After stopping into Hummer to look for a second car they beat BMW hands down. I was actually looking to buy a Jeep but I thought I'd just check out the H3 just to rule it out. After 15 minutes I fell in love with that car and the way the dealership sold their Hummer. No high pressure at all.
The wife and I bought another 2007 H3 (Birch White) today and the dealer threw in free tint, floormats, full tank of gas and a bumper with the trailer hitch.
