I was looking to get a little more light that what the OEM halogen in the H3 produce.

What is the brightest brand name halogen bulb that I can use??

I saw the Phillips Crystal Vision ULTRA H13

Also -when a halogen is SINGLE filament - there is only onesetting - low beam.
Will this affect the Day time running lights??

I used the Sylvania Silverstar H13SU before going to projection HID lights
The Silverstar H13SU were the brightest legal bulbs I found in halogen.
They were also about 4000 kelvin, so they looked a little less yellow
They're might be others out there
If you have a 2007 H3 the DRL's are the main headlights and the H13 are dual filaments

 

do a search, i made a post awhile back on the phillips that i have,check it out

 

I called and talked with Sylvania - they make the X-treme power H13 bulbs.
They told me almost all the upgrade bulbs are single filament.

Would it really be worht giving up Hi beams ??

I looked at your posts - but currently the Phillips X-treme is a single filament
I don;t think it would be woth giving up your high beams

Are they any high performance H13 dual filament bulbs??

Have you looked at Piaa they are the best on the market right now i have the x-tream white and they are rated 4100 K = 55/110 and they have many others that are much higher on the kalvin scale so they look more to the blue side of white and not yellow like an incandessant bulb
