I am seriously considering picking up an H1. What year would be the best for me to get. I don't want the '06 becuase I have heard it is harder to get parts for that one.

How loud is a soft top vs. a hard top?

Which years come with CTIS? How often does that system fail?

How hard is it to park one of these things?

98 and up soft tops are insulated and are pretty quiet. All years came with CTIS even though some early years had a CTIS delete option so not every truck has it. 99% do have it. For wheeling many prefer the 97.5 and 98 year models. 97.5 and up have the upgraded HVAC system. 97-2000 had the #8 cylinder issue. Check to see if the motor was replaced on those year model trucks.
