Update.
Before leaving: New ceramic pads all around, turned rotors, new outer tie rods and alignment, new oil and air filter.
Well, just completed a coast-to-coast trip again in the H2.
Avg. MPG 11.8@75-85 w/AC on.
48hrs from LA to CT including a 2 hr detour on surface streets around Little Rock.
No problems other than a slight vibration @70mph+ from the front right tire......and a LOT of bug mush on the front!
Now it's time for trans filter and fluid change and new oil filter and top off oil. Also change the transfer case and diff fluids.
I have 2 sets of wheels and tires. I think I will take them to have the best ones swapped out and balanced. Have to work some OT to save up for a full set of M/Ts for winter.

Easy tip on the bug mush. Get a mr clean magic eraser and some water. The bugs come off very easy

Any time Ive taken a trip in my firebird, I hose the entire nose down in wd40. You will still have bug impact splatter, but 80-90% tends to wash right off w the hose instead of scrubbing bug guts for 3 hours.

Anything that's black in the engine bay- plastic, rubber, etc hose that down w wd40 and wipe off excess. Keeps all that **** looking brand new. Any build up rinses off, no scrubbing. I'll go through 3/4 can easy. Saves a lot of time. . The engine bays on all my vehicles look showroom.

How do you use WD40? Pour all over?
