it's raining quite a bit outside, and i had my hummer parked outside for about 2 hours. when i got in the hummer i noticed a drop of water on my dash, and then i started to drive and water came pooring in from the rear view mirror (wiring area).

Have any of you had this issue? and if so, how would i go about fixing it without taking the time to go to the dealership?

Do you have a sunroof?

 

No sunroof. the leak looks to be coming from the onstar wiring tube. could it be that rain can get in from the onstar antenna and travel through the wiring tube to the mirror? oh and one detail i forgot in the initial post... the speakers started to pop as well. not sure if that is significant or not, but you never know.

I had this exact issue, minus the speaker's popping, but I was getting water in the front floor soaking the carpet! In my case it was the windshield seal, the window was not set in correctly. The dealer had to take the windshield out and put a new seal in. Problem fixed!
