Default Warrenty Service Question.

I have a question. We do not have a Hummer dealership within an hour drive. Do GM dealerships perform warrenty service or do I have to drive to a Hummer dealership?

You will probably get better service at a HUMMER dealership, however any GM dealer should work on them. Just call ahead to check.

Chances are you will have to drive to a Hummer dealer.... I called a local GM non Hummer dealer to see if I could simplydo an oil change,he put me on holdfor 10 minscame back and saidnope! I would suggest you call first.

When you are a ways from a Hummer dealership the GM dealerships will usually do the service work. Obviously if they don't service them often they probably won't diagnose as well or complete the work as fast.

I tried that once already.....and the NON-Hummer dealership screwed up, and then washed their hands of the deal...so now I have to drive 2 hours to get to the Hummer dealer....[:@]

It's best to take it to a Hummer dealership, you'll get the best service, but any GM dealer should be able to do the work.

Any GM service department should have electronic access to Hummer manuals. But it is their call on whether they want to do the work or not.

It is probably worth the effort to go to a Hummer dealership for service on anything mechanical. You would think anybody could do an oil change or wheel rotation.

Thanks, I had taken it to one dealer who sells used hummers. The would work on it if I had purchased it there. I just wanted the trac control scanned (error message). Another GM dealer would checkthe codes but would not adjust anything. They also laughed at my wife when she asked them to check the tire monitor. Iguess they didn't think she was smart enough to check the air pressure first before asking for help with the error code. They charged me 40 bucks to adjust the left torrsion bar since it was sagging to one side. I only have 26000 on the 07but I needan ac vent replaced and a few other small things checked out.

ONce again, thanks for the advice.

Adam
