Default Wants to die

I have an H3 07 with 28,000 miles. Everytime I come to a stop, the engine wants to die and the lights dim but at the last second its like the computer catches it and adjust for it. This has been slowly getting worse and is really bad when the engine is cold.

Anyone have or know of this problem? What could it be?

Hate to take it in to the dealer so close to Christmas. Theyalways find a way to charge me big bucks.

Your 2007 is under warranty, I do not know what they could charge you for if you take it in with your problem for a diagnostic check.

I will say.... dirty fuel injectors. You been runnin cheap gas this summer???? Good luck.

BP gas. The cleaning of the fuel injectorsand replacefuel filter (total $210.00) is not under warranty. It is considered regular maintenance. Then, since that isn't under warranty, they will charge me for running the diagnostic.

You haven't been to a dealer lately have you? They are worse thanlawyers.

You do not read racall notices or service bulletins, do you? Dealerships are like dogs, they will get away with what they can depending on who they are dealing with.

Everybody bashes lawyers until they NEED one?

Your a genius! I'm so glad I joined this forum. Thank you!

Oh, and no I don't read recall notices. Wonder why they didn't send me one. They have on other cars. Perhaps not enough of the people have had the problem.

So I am off to make an appointment.

Thanks again Doc Olds!

Turns out that it was gunk that had built up on the plate housing the fuel injection.

Gunk? So did the dealer fix it? How'd they diagnose that, and did they charge you?

We took it on a test drive and the mechanic experiencedthe almost dying thinghimself. He then exposed the plate and took a rag and wiped the inside out. He said it was hard to believe that would cause it but it does. They didn't charge me. At 30,000 miles your suppose to get the fuel injection system cleaned. Mine had 28,000 on it.

Yeah, that is strange.I'm glad the dealer fixed it for no fee, and the mechanic went right to the problem, makes you wonder how often this happens.Maybe they see it happen after 30K miles all the time.
