Think maybe he/she was just playin?????? Did they have a Hummerforums decal? If we want to WARN are member of your ferocious GTO we need some help. Twasn't me, I'm in the Mitten!

Trust me, I wouldn't waste the gas in any of my Oldsmobiles if yer piece O shyt wanna be PONCHO from down under pulled up next to me at the light!

Let's excersize some restraint and maturity, besides, it is a more sophisticated and refined person that drives a Hummer. We wish to rid ourselves of those that egg on GTO drivers to a challenge at our earliest opportunity.

Say, do you have onstar in your GTO?

there is a guy in my area with an escalade in the mid 11s...i dont see any reason why the same thing couldnt be done to a hummer...which would hand a stock GTO it's pride back in a little bag.

Ok, so let's put someone up to the challenge. Who is going to build an 11 sec rig?

in the early days of HF, we had a guy with a blown H2...but i dont recall his username...

i believe that the guy in my area, running in the mid 11s with a street driven escalade is turbocharged by livernois performance.,..but im not certain of that.

Sweet. A challenge!! I know how to get 3200 lbs of Olds to run. Even had some pretty fast old Chevy PUs back in the day, but to get a 5000# +brick to get out of the 13s? Yikes. You need a ton of torque (700+) to get it mooooooving, then over 800 HP on the other end. The mass v accelleration stats say NO. Not even this http://www.worldcarfans.com/7060510....-police-hummeris close. I'll take a back seat. Wale of a challenge Sugardaddy!

my 3700lb dodge is running in the low 12s, NA, with around 9 to 1 compression. i think that the problem is not so much the capacity of making a very fast hummer, but more so the cost..

Patrick, you are absolutely correct. Every HP past 400 is easily going to cost over $100.00 each and wouldcontinue on an increasing slope. If cost were no object, it might be done. Man could you imagine that rig. WILD. Hey didn't Bob Hope say that "Isn't that wild?" It would also help to reduce tire profile, so it would be much $$$$ to keep ground clearance an some tire size. Ah well, back to work.
