Jmm - It is well known the Land Rover spends more time in the shop than on the road. And a Ferrari more reliable than a Corvette? No way.My friends had to have their Porche engines rebuilt at 50,000 and the Vette was going strong at 150,000 miles

skeeet is right, I had a 2004 porsche gt2(really fast). It was fun but it wasnt reliable and it broke down on me after only 2000 miles and it cost me 12k to fix. I got really mad because for 190k supercar it had no reliability. BTW i babied this thing and I raced it once and after 10k miles I sold it and I bought myself a 2006 dodge viper coupe and it hasnt been to the dealership since i bought it. I know european cars arethe most well built cars but they arent reliable.

Gorilla: Did you buy the GT2 new or used? I was just curious because you shouldn't have to pay 12k to fix a new car, but I don't know much about Porche warranties

It happens that I have had several PORSCHE since 1997, sooo I have a little experience about it.
NEVER, Porsche would have asked a client to pay ANYTHING to repair a 2000miles GT2......
