I'm thinking ANY bcm will work; but you have a very good chance of needing to go to the dealer and have it reprogrammed.

Since H3s use a PCM, not an ECU, I think there is some confusion?

If what you are asking is: Will a stock 07 PCM work in a stock 06? The answer is NO.

07 PCMs will not work in an 08 because of the TCM. 08-10s are interchangable so long as the engine/trans pkg is the same.

Interesting; I thought they were all somewhat compatible, just the dealer had to reprogram them for your individual case?

I believe that a BCM (Body Control Module) from an 06 will not work in an 07 due to the fact that the 06 did not have SIRs (Side Impact Restraints/airbags) and most of the 07s did.

I agree with Tainter and the SIR issue. Aside from that, its a CAN system where all modules communicate back and forth with each other. Anything from A/C system operation to putting it in drive could be affected. But more importantly, why would you want so switch it?
