only problem is the stock front diff will explode, don't know if the rest of the drivetrain will stand up but a pretty cool conversion anyway.

thats about the 5th blown front diff that I have heard of already with the h3's, all explode while off roading. I see a gm recall in the future.

 

I was REALLY pushing my H3 to the extreme when the front Diff popped. Here's a few pictures. My dealer had a brand new one installed in one day and they detailed the truck for me!

ouch! all the others I have heard were pushing hard to, I think they were all west coasters at moab and one at rubicon. either way stock components when coupled with a stock motor should hold up to any conditions, especially since gm is praising the h3's off road dominance. I know they will replace it quick but getting stuck in the middle of no where with a blown diff ain't no fun. Once they get more and more warrenty replacements for it I think they'll do something.

 

Thats very possible. It's tough to tell OnStar where you are when you're off roading!

 

reminds me of my brother, he got his nissan frontier stuck on some jeep trail and needed a tow out from me. I was hunting the other side of the mountain at the time but man his directions were classic. make a left at a big tree with a little white tree right next to it....go through a ditch and make a right at a big gray rock. then look for a tall *** pine tree....that should be easy,were only on a mountain with 8 million trees and rocks....took me like 4 hours just to find him...lol
