Default Upper Grille Removal

I am getting ready to have my upper grill powder coated and I want to go ahead and remove it myself that way I can just drop it off. Anyone know how to do this?

Why yes you are right. They are not powder coating it and I am not sure why I typed that. I am actually getting it encased in LineX which is actually kind of like a Rhino Liner. So can anyone help with the removal piece?

Its pretty easy 4 bolts and it literally pops off, there are clips all the way around the grille itself

Yeah it was actually pretty easy. I think it looks way better. Hopefully soon I will be able to get the truck sprayed flat black and get all the lights smoked to finish the cosmetics.

ooo I like this a lot!

Question... how does the lower piece come off where the tow shackles are mounted to the frame? Mine is aluminum color and I'd want to have this painted / line-x'd as well.

Autumn, its bolted on... remove the bolts for the tow shackles, and the skid plate, but there might be two more behind the smaller lower grille that are a PIA to get to, if memory serves correct... I'd also shop around and see if you can't find someone selling their 06/07 one cause they came in black...
