Still some changes to be made but sound improvement was noticeable

The dynamat made a huge difference however only on the rattle and vibrations from speaker .
I didn't insulate all the door , neither seal the hole for the window regulator so I can't comment on noise reduction

The fast rings are a great deal and an easy way to improve mid bass

Overall I'm happy with the Hertz DSKfront , Dcx rear great sound and bass but will look to replace the tweeters. They are a little harassing

The kenwood powered amp does help to get some bass kick but do not expect a deep bass . Still good enough for me and space saver is a plus . Was easy to install . As it only consume 7amp I connected to the amp power supply ,ground and remote ... my Amp has a output rca so didn't have to run new cable from the headunit
Hide the control on the center console. I don't like stuff hanging around

Now I'm waiting for the onstar box replacement so once I remove the console will replace and relocate the Rca

How did the sub under the seat work out? Everything looks clean. I like the remote under the console. One thing I miss on the H2 is storage.

The is much better than expected (my expectations were low)
Or give me the bass I was looking. . Not too harass. Is not a really deep bass but when played loud you feel the vibration in your body

It fit perfect under the seat taking not space at all . Even the seat fold all the way down

 

whats am i looking at with picture #2?
I know i see styro foam around the speaker in picture #1, but in pic #2 it looks like the styro foam in the door and had dyno mat over it??

 

The fast rings come in 3 pieces . One for the door . Behind the speaker
One for the door interior (what you see in pic 2 ) it os supposed to be stick on the speaker but attach it to the door interior was much easy
And one for the speaker front . To seal tye gap between speaker and grill

I cover the speaker hole with the dynamat to avoid vibration which was very bad before

If you start with the front doors and think the doors are flimsy wait till you get to the back door ( that sound wrong) better let said rear doors

I spent much more dynamat on rear and still.got short for another package

Last update . I replaced the standard RCA for Gigh quality JL rca . Plus connected the sub to the Hu sub output
And the bass was improved a 90%

Im so happy with the sound system in general . Cheap and it sound great

By the way - I did finally have a chance to check the Onstar mic and I was wrong. It works perfectly fine. Turns out my Kenwood defaulted to turning the microphone level down as low as it would go. On the phone screen on the Kenwood (or in the main setup) go into the setup options and you can adjust the mic level and noise reduction levels. I have my noise reduction now set to zero and I cut the mic level up to the max (I think it was 15) and now when i call someone they can hear me perfect, not even really raising my voice.

 

Lack of storage space has always been a problem for me. The way you mounted your subwoofer control gave me this idea.

 

That is nice ... I got to find a way to put mine . I got a safebox in the center console but only to hide the gun when I'm not carrying..
