Default Updated Deuce Pics

Greetings all...

I repainted the intake stack cover back to the original body color, mounted the spare inside and installed LED license plate lights. Next up - wheels!

Thumbs up H2 make over

That's awesome Richard!!! Really stands out nicely. Glad to be of some help with your interior spare tire project! I also like my spare on the inside.

Thanks! Your post really helped my i.e. I would not have known to cut holes for the nut access. You know, another think I noticed was the rear approach angle is much better with the rear spare removed. I really like it inside too... Thought I would miss the space but there's still plenty. The LED's are totally awesome!

Here's a tip for you... I used duplicolor bed lining on the chrome side view mirror inserts and they are perfect! Highly recommend it...

Default Good tip!!

Thanks Richard for the tip!! Its always nice to share info about different mods we all like to do. They can sometimes save us time or $$ or both in some cases.

I also enjoy having my spare inside the H2. My reasons were; 1. Wont get stolen as easily. 2. Less sun rotting by it just sitting there drying out the rubber sidewalls and cracking over time. (I could place a cover on it, but that could also find its way gone.) You are also correct in that it can help the angle of departure as well!

Hi Nate -

I had the front grill done at Line X (spray coating, ~$150, next day turn-around) and I use Meguiars Perfect Black on all exterior trim. The $7 bottle will solve your problem. I apply it with an applicator pad with no wipe off.

Ya ill have to send my front end out to get done. I've been using Mothers Back to black and it holds for about 2-3 weeks then back to gray. Lol. I'll have to give Perfect Black a try. If not i was considering on using rustoleum bumper trim paint. Any objections?

Did you remove the two tow loops? Maybe it is just hard to see in the pics.
