I know what you mean Shorty .. plus I've never had a single repair done to mine as of yet *knocks on wood* but then again, it hasn't been (ab)used nearly as much as yours ... hell, this is the first winter I'm really driving it full time LOL!

Yeah, last time I think they told me 2800 and change but with the usual crap on top of it .. about 3 ...

iadded 48 months, but an extra 60k miles. i'll have the miles on long before the 48 months is up. it's been money well spent for me.

a friend of mine, whose dad owned a race shop used to wait till the extended warrenty was almost up, then would go to the j-yard and buy a broken part, swap the good one with the broken one and have it towed into the dealer to get fixed. Would take the truck back with a new trans (or whatever part he used) and he would sell the good one he took out of his truck originally. This was back in the early 90's, it would be harder to do today...but still possible

I was thinking about adding the very same thing actually, either that or 36 months .. I just don't see myself driving this one another 4 years ... not with new ones on the lots screaming my name every time I go in for maintenance LOL!

i would have just gone with 36 months, but that would have limited me to only 48k miles, i wanted more.

not a bad idea on putting in a broke part and getting it fixed under warranty. the techs have written all over most of the mechanicals under the truck, not sure if it's just because they were bored or if they were adding their initials. i'm sure i'll have plenty of chances to get just about everything changed out again before i hit my mileage limit.

Turns out the puddle was coolant from a cracked heater core.Even though it sure seemed like an oil-based fluid to me.

Better make sure you wipe up the puddle if you have pets running around in your garage
