Is it possible to turn of the DRL on the H3? So they don't turn on automatically every time I start? Is there a trick to do it by yourself or do you need a mechanic do it with a TechII? Or is it impossible all together?

didn't know that the DRL had a fuse of its own.

 

Do you know which fuse it is can't find it in the owners manual

 

I'm not advocating removal of the fuse for the DRLs but if you needed to replace it? My 08 and 09 manuals say it is in position #39 (Reduced Intensity Low-Beam Daytime Running Lamps).

 

There may not be a separate fuse/relay for the '06, since it used the parking lights for DRL,s, and didn't need to 'reduce intensity' for the headlamps as used on later years. Not sure, but I think the DRL's were 'full intensity' parking lamps.
