Default Transfer case type and operation

Hello all!

I'm working on a project and wanted to ask how the full time case works. For the Hummer transfer case, is it just an open differential type? Does it have a torsen type differential in it?

Basically, I'm looking for a full-time case (that can lock, and has low range) that was used in a GM truck but doesn't have a clutch pack like the Autotrac cases.

thanks in advance!

And there are two different models.

BW4493 is the 2.6:1 ratio, while the BG4494 has the 4:1
