I just took my car in to a local dealership and wanted to know what a weird rattling noise was when I was driving my '06 H3. The mechanics said the problem is a leaking transfer case. They said to open it would be $900, that's not even replacing or doing anything to fix it. What should I do to get rid of that annoying noise, without paying that much for them just to open it? If anyone has had the same problem with the leaking transfer case, please post a comment. Thank!

 

I haven't had the problem. Bit i recall a thread possibly not even that long ago. Login and try the search function and you should find something.

 

If its leaking, AND making noises I'd want to check fluid, TONIGHT!
