Traction Problem?
I have a hummer H3, about 3.5 years old. Recently the brake lights remained on and the battery died. I jump-started it and took it to garage. They took out the module, cleaned it and it is now ok. However as thy drove it into their garage they told me that the STAB and TRACTION warning lights had come on. Then the lights went off again. It seemed ok so I drove it back home. Next day I drove for about 10 minutes and parked. When I restarted, the vehicle acted strangely - some loss of power, very hard and responsive brakes and virtually no power in reverse. It is like being stuck in 4WD on a normal road. No warning lights came on. I pressed the STAB button for 5 secs to disconnect it then I pressed it again to re-connect it. I drove for about another 10 mins and parked. When I restarted it the problem returned but then it went away again. Any ideas?
