Unhappy Tpms

Is there a sending or receiving unit on the calipers. Mechanic said that he could only get three wheels to chirp and I might have a problem with the unit that receives the signals from the tpms on the rims? I have checked out other forums but nothing is said on this matter.
You should not have to pray each time you get into a car or truck (but I do) so a warning light will not come on but I am almost scared to turn the key anymore.
2007 H3 This has been the year of the warning lights for me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok since it is Sunday, said a little prayer and put the key in to on and turned the lights on and off 4x and heard the horn beep 2x. (Prior to this I filled all the tires to 38psi) went from LF, RF, RR, to LR and let air out of each tire till I heard the horn beep. Some tires took longer to beep than others so keep letting air out till you hear the beep which could be up to 20 or 30 seconds. Heard the last tpms beep and turned off the key. The DIC TPMS message was still there so I drove the vehicle (Thanks Doc) before the TPM reset was finalized and the message and tire light went out about a 1/4 of a mile down the road.
The good news is that the shop put in a new TPMS on the RR wheel and since they could not clear the code, they did not charge me for the TPMS.

I would just replace them all because it sounds like the batteries are dying
