i see alot of them around here, and i dont get it...i find it to be a goofy looking vehicle.

 

Last I heard they were cracks on the inside of the fenders, not the frames?

 

me thinks you heard wrong.

 

Me thinks I have seen it in person, and it was not the frame it was in the crumple zone on the inside of the front fender/engine compartment. Mostvehicles frames are on the bottom of the vehicle and not made out of sheetmetal.

 

well, the pics I saw on an fj forum were the frame...unless they changed the location of the frame since I got my ASE certificationNot saying you didn't see it in the crumple zone...but others have seen it in the frame....would a crumble zone repair cost over $8000??...umm...no.Thats what one guy had to pay to repair his fj when the japs over at toyota siad they wouldn't cover it because it had been offroad.
