towing option yes or not

quick question

by your opinions ous three towing (trailer button) necessary while towing mostly flat a trailer with brakes

I always use the tow haul button when I have any trailer on .

The transmission guy told me to stop using it while on the highway.
He said is not going to affect anything but on Hwy will spending more gas and lose ride comfort

Run very far from that transmission guy. Use the button when towing.
