Default Towing an H2 behind Motorhome

I want to tow my H2 behind my Motorhome. What do I have to do to tow it? I have seen some being towed. I have all the brackets but want to know what I have to do with the drive line

It is important that you shift the transfer case into Nuetral..!! The proceedure is in your manual. Also after it is shifted to Nuetral you can test to make sure by appyling the brakes and putting it into Drive then reverse.

Their should be no forward or back movement of your rig. You will her the tranny shift maybe.

At this pint power is flowing into the transfer case but not to the front and rear drive shafts which is what you want.

As you tow your rig the only thing that will be rotating are the front and rear diff gears and the drive shafts.

Also check your manual for any other items they might want you to do before towing. Of course ..this is all covered under "Towing Your Vehical" in the manual.

The proceedure for returning the transfer case to the drive mode is different then when you disconnected it. So Read your manual.

Make sure your tow bar has a rated weight of around 8000 lbs or more. Most tow bars out there are made for standard trrucks and SUV's and will not handle the weight of the H2. I have seen many moter homes towing there Hummer H2's with the wrong tow bar. Better be safe than sorry later..
