Default Tow Hooks

Does anyone else have rust forming on the bolt and shaft of their tow hooks? My h3 is only 7 months oldand I noticed the rust spots this week while washing the truck.

Any recommendations on removing the rust?

Yup, mine are rusting already also with no use to them. I put Ospho rust inhibitor, you can use endrust also if you want. Or take it back in and let the dealer fuss with it...[:'(]

I'm one year into an '06 with no rust on the bolts. There was also a lot of salt down this winter and I'veput a wrenchthem twice while installinga brush guard and then dual horns. The bolts are treated with some sort of a coating to keep them from rusting.

Have the dealer replace them next time you're in for service, they shouldn't rust.

Yes, I noticed this problem also. I'm only 5 months into my 07 H3. I'll try to take a pic later today and post for all to see. -jeff
