G'day, I need a tow bar harness for my H3 as it has a factory tow bar but no plug to attach a trailer. Can someone please help me identify what harness I need to purchase and where it connects on the truck?

Between the rear bumper I can see a 4 pin connector but its connected through to the number plate lights.



I found this larger connector underneath with what seems to be an end cap. Is this where a harness connects?

 

Try calling dealership and provide VIN and they should be able to look it up with no problems

 

To close this thread off I ended up making my own connection to the harness for my trailer wiring. The plug underneath to the rear has the connection for all wiring of the trailer. I just drilled out red electrical plugs slide wire through and its been working fine. Unfortunately no dealers in Australia could help me find the appropriate harness. I hope this helps others!

I just bought a harness off eBay plugged straight in.

 

Was it the same plug as mine above? Do you have a link to the ebay item? I have a feeling mine is missing another piece of the harness. The manual says that there is meant to be blunt cut wires in the back but I didn't have this. I even peeled back all the insulation and couldn't find these 4 blunt cut wires...

 

The 4 blunt cut wires are buried in the large wire bundle behind the bumper on the door hinge side.
That's where mine were.
Maybe the South African built H3s don't have them.
