Default Torsion Key Adjustment Help

TL;DR version

My H2 feels float to the point that I'm just all over the place.
I just happened to take a look under the vehicle & notice that something seems off with the bolts (angle & torque on them).

What's the best torsion bar adjustment tool for the job?
Also, what's the stock position for the bolts? Do I just measure or are number of turns a better option?

That's a little messed up.

I don't have the part number handy, but there is a torsion bar removal tool.
You can find forged ones on fleebay for about $30.

You may want to get one of those and take the tension off of them and straighten them out.

As far as number of turns, you actually want to measure the vehicle ride height on the driver and passenger side and adjust until even.

Once you adjust drive around the block, and then measure.

It is common for you to have more threads showing on one bolt versus the other.
Just the nature of the beast.

FWIW they should be relatively straight down with the weight of the H2 on them.

I had/have the exact same issue. I just turned the bolt clockwise until the rake evened out and I was mostly satisfied with the look. I still have some adjustment left in my bolts.

Rented a tool from AutoZone for $80. Got it back when I returned the tool. Essentially it is a heavy duty/reinforced C-clamp. Handled a 1/2" impact with no trouble.

I used it to remove the tension, align the bolts and their respective holders nice and straight. As I tightened the bolts, their holders starting moving and ended up looking like yours. I have no idea why. I completed the procedure twice to make sure i wasn't crazy. Both times, the metal things the bolts screw into turned and look more like a partial moon. I don't have any issues with my ride quality, noise, shock absorption, etc. Getting the H2 aligned on Friday.

I ended up buying the tool for $21. I can see myself using it in the future.
Very, very easy job. I'm just paranoid about getting hurt with anything spring loaded. Went smoothly. Almost too smoothly, lol.

So what is the rake of the H2 supposed to be?

The ride quality is night & day. It's not a boat anymore.
