Default Torsion Bars & 35" Tires

I just got a call from Pep Boys that my tires are in; however, I have not leveled my car following the posted Torsion Bars HowTo "sticky". Is it ok to have Pep Boys mount the tires w/o doing anything to the torsion bars? Anything special I have to tell them? They told me that they have never done that size of tire at my local Pep Boys. That doesn't give me a fuzzy feeling.

Let me know guys

You can mount 35" tires on the stock rims with no modifications at all. I have 315/75/16's on my H3 and haven't changed anything.

You are 100% correct. The guy at Pep Boys couldn't believe it. No rub at all!!

I love it!

I'm going to drive like this for a week or so. Maybe I'll do the torsion bars or maybe not.

but... since the new tires will mess up w/ the speedo, should i get a new PCM?

Thank you !

Your speedo will only be out a bit. I think mine is out maybe 5-7km/hr not totally sure. There are some converters on the interweb if you really want to know. I don't even worry about it. I have thought about getting the pcm tune but my truck is still under warranty for a while and i don't want to mess with that. I have a stick shift also so I don't even notice any power difference.
The pcm tune will definitely help with the auto tranny, I suggest getting an intake first then the tune. From what I have heard from others you will be happy.

demonized what did you go with for tires? look like coopers but can't tell from those pics, the torsion bars are just huge bolts, turn to your liking but you'll need an aligment afterwards, its a 1 1/16 size wrench to do the job....
