Default Torque converter info plz

Hey guys I'm in the middle of my tranny rebuild and I need some information quick. I Don't know whether or not to change out my Torque converter. If I do what RPM stall should I put on it. It's stock right now at 175k with 37" tires. I plan on putting a small lift and maybe some small engine mods with the next few months. (Later on a supercharger, but not for a few years.) any information could help. It's my first rebuild thanks guys.

Im curious about the torque converter too. Im considering a supercharger and want one that can handle the extra power and torque.

frankly i wouldn't put a high stall in, like 2400- 3000 rpm or even higher, because you would need to acheive 2400-3000 rpm everytime you pull out, stop signs... stop lights... stuck in traffic... but if you do decide thats what you want, make sure you add a bigger tranny cooler, fluid temperature will increase the higher u go.

- About 4 hours for me to remove the drive shafts, driver side exhaust, transfer case, starter, and the tranny (It should have been faster but I had a bad exhaust screw )

- About 2 hours for the breakdown.

- Another 3 hours for the assembly so far (only about 2/3 I had to stop because they forgot to send me a friction plate)

I had to stop because I realized I had a bad reverse input drum. So I have to wait till the extra parts come in to finish it.

Ya I was thinking about going a bit higher then stock, I've also heard that going to high will cause it to slip and over heat. :/ it's a nerve racking decision.

I think the stock converter is 1750 or less. I saw it posted on the monster transmission site but its down this morning so I can not confirm. A little looser converter should do wonders in our H2's.

After speaking to monster transmission, summit racing, and a few local shops they all say it's around 1300. I may go with a 1600 Insted. I'll keep on researching

If you are planning to supercharge for sure later make sure to keep that in mind when you make your final decision to select a stall converter. The extra power/torque of the charger will have your converter flash higher. I personally don't think that running a higher stall converter on a heavy rig like this is a good idea, a lot of driveline parts that will see extra stress and if you tow there is going to be a lot of additional heat build up.
