285/75 16 a bit bigger then 33's they measure 34.4

guard dog tires from treadrwright. NITTO CASINGS AND BFG M/T TREAD love these tires they also have kedge grip

practically brand new. had them on my truck a few months but i dont drive my h3 at all anymore.

600 firm local sale would be best- i know nothing about shipping tires.

Are you sure those are the 285's? TW lists te 285's w/ an OD at 33.2" and the 315's at 34.7" OD. Something doesn't add up? How are you measuring the tires?

Every tire manufacturer deviates slightly from published nominal measurements. No 2 are exactly the same.

These are a high quality specialty retread tire from Treadwright. In this case a BFG MT tread is molded onto a Nitto casing. The actual diameter measures 34.4".

I'm thinking that TW chose to label them 285 rather than 315 because they are not quite the nominal 315 size and chose to advertise dimensions that are closer to nominal to avoid confusion. (didn't work out that way huh)

Looks like the Old Goodyear MTR tread to me not the BFG MT.

I've read good things about the retreads from treadright with the pieces of nut shells in them for winter traction.

So does that mean purchasing 315's from TW are going to be bigger than the advertised 34.7? Kinda makes me ponder if 285's might be a better deal since they would be hypothetically only 0.3in smaller diameter that the 315's

Why not contact treadwright directly and ask them what the true height of a 315/75R16 is. Have them go measure one?
