...BFG tires blow IMO...plain and simple...
I have never heard anyone but you say that BF Goodrich tires "blow". you might want to use a little more evidence than what you have submitted here. In fact, I have used every mud tire created but TOYO and would say BFG makes the BEST tire on the market. ALL of them. AT, MT, KRAWLER. also, all Interco tires, AKA Super Swampers are made of VERY soft rubber compounds, which means they wear very quickly on the highway, but look great. very hard to balance also. they are really designed for off road use only.

did you see where I put IMO..that means IN MY OPINION...I don't need evidence to support it as it is an opinion. You have yours and I have mine. I got over 40,000 miles on my last set of swamper SSR's and have 42,000 on my mickey thompson baha belted that I'm running on my Grand Cherokee. I don't consider that fast wearing.

very impressive mileage for both (not the TSL); but I still don't think the BFG MT would wear any quicker than either. IMO.

I didn't say they wear quicker, they actually wear very nicely (BF'S) The thing I don't like about them is that there are no siping on the treads, which makes driving on wet pavement as bad as driving on ice, I've spun around making turns one too many times with the bf mt's. A real hard rubber compound and a lack of siping makes for a real slippery ride in bad weather. Maybe they have changed their design now and have added siping? I dunno...but judging by the pics on the BF website there still appears to be none.

well that might splain it. In North Texas, it rains about 5 days a year, so there is no nasty weather to get sideways in. so I am no expert on that matter. But i STILL don't think you can say they "blow". there are only a few companies that produce tires in the 35"+ market (as you know) BFG, Mickey T, Interco, Dick Cepek (Parnelli Jones), Interco, Pro Comp, Goodyear, Nitto... I'm prolly forgetting some good ones, but most of them are VERY expensive and/or not worth the money (for 4WD vehicles used for weekend wheeling). we should do a real world study on 35"+ tires and figure it out for ourselves. I will post up the stats on my 315/75/16 BFG MT's periodically. I feel a challenge a brewin

Hey guys, I know alot of this tire talk is repetitive so bear with me. I'm trying to decide what tires to put on. I want to make sure on the size options.
If I went with a 35" it would be a 315/75/16 right?

Tire and tread design being the same, when comparing 32", 33", and 35" tires is there a major difference in all-around off-road performance? I'm talking about moderate off-road use where one willnever put their truck in danger.

Considering the low-rangeratio in a base H3, will the increased diameter of33" or 35" tireshurt the truck's ability to creep down steep grades under engine braking alone?

Man, alot of good info here. I seemost ofyou talking about 35's. Did you have to put on a lift, or just tweek the torsion bars?

I am very new to this forum and just purchased a 2007 H3X. My first order of business is wheels and tires. My local shops say I cannot go larger than 33's without a lift, and even then they may have to tweek the torsion bars. I am looking at a 18X9 w/ a +14 offset, if this makes a difference. Can I get 35's without a lift?
