Tire Size Opinions
I'm looking for tire size opinions. I'm getting ready to put new tires on and am stuck on what size to get. I have an 08 base H3, the tires are going to be Cooper Discoverer STT's.
If you already have 35's on your H3 woud you put them on again or would you go with 33's? If you have 33's are you happy with them or do you wish you would have went up in size?

RE: Tire Size Opinions
I just installed 33" Hankook MTs on my H3. It was between the Hankooks and the Coopers but the Coopers were going to take too long to get. I love the tires and the size! I would never go as large as a 35" unless my rig lived off road...and slow going off road at that. The weight of the tires and wheels gets really huge at those tire sizes (34" & 35"). If you do the swap yourself and actually handle the tires you'll see what I mean! My 33's give a great aggressive stance without that "nothing but rubber" look. Now, I am speaking about an MT tread design...the ATs may have a smaller look to them because of the more mild tread design. If you want tires that big for the dirt, get a second set of wheels and tires for the times you NEED it. If not, you'll love the 33"s for all around good looks and use. I know there is a huge 35" contingency out there, but remember bigger isn't always better....unless you're talking about *****!

RE: Tire Size Opinions
I have 35's and would do it again every time. The weight difference between a 33 and a 35 is not that much, for mickey thompson mtz's the 33's are 55lbs each and 35's are 65 lbs each...40 lbs isn't enough to worry about. IMO why change to a 33" and look normal when you can go to a 35 and stand out from the crowd. You will see about a 2-3mpg hit with 35" mud terrains but thats the only downside that I have seen. It's really just a personal thing...do what you are comfortable with.

I just had my 35's mounted and so far love em. Alread had a few comments, they just really grab attention. So far It looks like I may have lost 1-2 miles per per gallon. As far as ride they are just fine. If I had to do it again I'd stay with the 35's for sure.

RE: Tire Size Opinions
I have had my Toyo Open County 33X12.50R20 on my 06 for almost a year now. Not sure about the 35's but these sound great on the road, and it got rid of all that bouncing in a fast corner. I'd keep with the 33's cause I don't do much off road.

RE: Tire Size Opinions
I been reading on the forums, the truck can wear 35's doesnt matter therims you use, but what happend if you use more that 35's? I already ordered my wheels and tires, using helo max 6 20x10, with nitto dune grappler 325/60 20. Checking on tire conversion, that means 35.4" x 12.8". My question is, using the Tbars and cognito shocks, will fit? or I will have rub problems?
Thanks in advance
