Default Tire Sensors new rims

My tire sensor on dash of 2009 SUT keeps going off after I recently placed after market rims. Can I reset it or do I have to get new sensors or just remove the sensors..............thanks

Rappelet,

I may be wrong, BUT. There are magnetic sensors on your stock wheels that relay the pressure info to your ECM...If you changed size from stock you may have to disable that program in your system.(dealership time)..or stick a nice piece of 3M tape over that light and save yourself 100's at the dealership...

Hope it helps,
Matt

Make sure they installed your sensors in the new rims first then go to you Hummer dealer and have them reset the PCM, takes them about 10min to do. I have had it done for my customers many times after we changed there wheels.

The angle on the inside of the new rim was different than the old rim so they had to remove the sensors. Is there a way in the electronics that can bypass that?
