that's if it's clean..... if you have 100lbs of hidden mud then you need to adjust....

I RUN 40PSI. im always on highway though. alot better performance and MPG's
running more psi...... it shouldnt be dangerous. im no where near the max psi of the tire( which is like 48-50psi.
but.... correct me if im wrong please

I ran 44 psi in the OEM P265/75-R16 (B F Goodrich) that were on it new. It did not have the Adventure Package. Only highway miles and were wore out and replaced with a little over 11K miles on them. Now I run the door sticker 30 psi in the new Dunlop tires. Better tires anyway ! Hope they last longer.

To find out what a good pressure for your tires should be after changing brands and/or sizes, why not just measure across the tread with a chalk line? If over-inflated, the white line will not wear away at the edge of the tread. Under-inflated will show wear on the sidewall, especially after going around a turn. Seems to me to be a better method of determining tire pressure rather than an arbitrary number based on stock wheels/tires/weight.
