well its finally that time for some new tires. I have been contemplating staying with the 37's or going up to 38.5 x 15's on stock HMMWV wheels. Anyone have any experience or advice on going up to this larger size? I dont do a lot of crawling, mostly just mud and trail riding. thanks

 

or what about 39.5's?

I am almost certain that the 15" tires would stick out beyond the fender wheels. during articulation they could damage the edges of the fender wells. With the 39.5" tires that is almost sure to happen.

 

If I went with the 38.5s and 13" wide I should stay inside the fender wells though. Thoughts?

 

13" should be fine. Who makes a 38.5x13x16.5? ( Pitbull? )

 

Not sure. I'm going with boggers so I'll prob have to go with 11's. I'm still shopping and figuring out what sizes are available
