Apparently the tie rods are a weakest link on the FJ's as well:

Woohoo! My VIN is 115952. So, now the weakest link in my drivetrain is . . . ME!

They're not Fabtech's but they do give me a little extra peace of mind.
I didn't know Fabtech made some for the H3. I've only seen their H2 ones. Are they compatible?

What isn't a weak link on an FJ? Jeeps bend tie-rods too. It's not even just an IFS thing.

They don't make them for the H3. That was my point. The only aftermarket company that I've heard of making them for the H3 is Bulletproof, but I believe you still have to have them special ordered.

But at least with Jeeps you can find 101 upgrades, improvements, or heavy duty replacements.

Tinked..just go to a 315/75/16. I got 5 installed from discount tire for 1370. They're a good looking tire and fill out the wheelwells nicely. They are really quiet for a tire that aggressive and you can only hear them hummin at about 45 or 50 with the windows down.

So I suppose the Vin# is the last six? mine last six is 240127 and must indicate that I have the large tierods, I am too lazy to go outside right now to look at the color.
