On our Alpha with the TPS issue the fix was replacing the gas pedal assembly. TPS is inside the electronic portion of the pedal assembly.

Im not sure if this is relevant, but I recently had some work done on my 3 under warranty. I complained about some rough idle and the dealer told me that they:

1. Cleaned the throttle body
2. Reprogrammed the throttle body so it opens/closes properly

The first point Im aware off. The second one was news to me. Either way, dealer was doing work under warranty so I didnt feel the need to bother.

 

found the pigtail connection thats hooks up to TB.
Its a common isssue...and they sell the part.
