Thinking of trading to a H2 - Need Advice
Hi guys, it has been a while since I have been around here. The wife has made the inquiry to me as to what is involved with trading our 06 luxury package for a new H2.
Sooo, what is the expected real world trade in if my truck is in mint perfect condition, basically just like I originally bought it but with 14k on it?
What is the REAL difference in gas mileaege?

Now that you properly sucked up to the forum
My advise is don't trade it in with the dealer, unless you like to be insulted..Go to Kelly Blue book and punch in all the facts about your rig and then look at the prices ...I have always sold my cars at or a little above the private sale numbers..Good luck
Here is what mine priced out as..
Condition
Value
Excellent
$30,050

Good
$28,360

Fair
$26,235

back up bitch...............back up bitch
back up bitch......................back up bit..............................................
sorry
Check a couple different dealers. If you want an 07, I bet you will see a better trade in.

RE: Thinking of trading to a H2 - Need Advice
Thanks for the info guys!
I paid $36,500 plus tax, tag, title, 0% interest, payments of $630 per month
So after 18 months I will have hit the principal on my loan $11,340 and if I wait 24 month it will be knocked down by $15,120 but of course after 24 months it will have more miles driven also, hmmm
I pretty much expect to break even, but I simply can not live with trading an upside down vehicle, period.
How does the H2 compare to the H3 with regards to depretiation? Does the H2 hold it's value any better or is it worse.
Dang, some hobbies are like throwing good money down a **** hole but hey you only live once and you can not take your $ with you. I really love driving my Hummer H3 and after having a Hummer I can not imagine selecting another vehicle to drive.
Yes, Dennis I suck up to the good folks on this forum, they are good peeps and have alot of Hummer knowledge! BTW - You are an awsome moderator, I wish a few of the other forums I visit had such a guy, trust me it makes a BIG difference!
Cheers,

I think the H2's are holding their value decent. 2003's around here still have up to a $40k asking price.... but... every model year the value drops. Nothing new there.

GHummer, let me know if you want some real world trade in estimates. we've had a lot of people trading in their '06's for '07's recently, due to the 0% interest promos. if you are truly looking to get the best bang for your dollar, follow dennis' advice. you'll always get more out of your vehicle by selling to another private party. don't count on getting the KBB trade in value when actually trading in your vehicle, as it is not an accurate description of true market value, only the numbers generated by dealerships in the area (let me know if you need further explanation).
as far as gas mileage, there is a pretty noticeable difference between the two. expect to get about 11-14 mpg, depending on how you drive, and the amount of highway driving you do.
