And for once, I DIDN'T CAUSE IT
For that matter, I wonder if RuttDog will EVER sign on to read any of this lol.

I didn't read this entire theard but if I had to sellmy car to buy a house I would seriously take a look at my finances in general to make sure I wasn't going to be house broke a couple of years from now. My wife and I put approx 30% of our net income into a non spendable savings and investment program (not including 401K). If a mortgage is going to make you change your lifestyle just to afford it then maybe you need to look at other options. I live in Houston because the housing is EXTREMELY cheap, we make good money, and I want to retire in about 15 years (because I'm getting old). I guess what I'm trying to say is if your finances are tight, get rid of the Hummer, start looking at investing some of your hard earned money, make a good solid plan to obtain your dream house, and enjoy life without getting stressed over finances.
I appreciate everyone's input and advice. I'll take everything into consideration and then make a decision. The two companies that want me to get rid of the Hummer are Countrywide and Navy Federal Credit Union. I tried Wachovia as well, but the interest rates were higher. I'll keep shopping around and see what I can find. The tax rate in this area doesn't make things any easier either. Rising property values and tax rates in VA Beach areaffecting many of the residents in this area. It seems like every year the property values go up which causes taxes to go up. It sucks! No matter what I decide I'll still come by and chat from time to time.
