Probably not if all you did was level the truck. If you go to an actual lift kit then you need to either use shock extensions or us longer shocks.

Many people don't change shocks when they crank the Tbar and say they have no issues

You don't HAVE to but check out the dozens of threads on this topic and you'll find out why people WANTED to. May want to start with the FAQs.

If you keep youir articulation to little or nothing you'll be fine. If you plan on taking it offroad you'll want to get the shocks.

Every post I have read that says you should replace the shocks seems right on. They are not that expensive and the rig will just be better off all around with them.

if you get bigger tires you better get the shocks. I had bigger tires and blew my cv boot out one day going over a speed bump. [:@]

If you do the T-bar adjusment you don't need the shocks.......even with bigger tires, I've been running 35's now for over a year and have no problems.

That's one of the dumbest things I've read in awhile. Tire size has nothing to do with it. And if you did damage a CV boot it likely had nothing to do with your shocks or tires.

As others have said, it isn't necessary, but it will help the ride. I didn't change mine out for probably 6 months and did plenty of wheeling with no problems. But now that I have the longer shocks, I wouldn't go back.

I cranked mine up about 8 months ago . I STILL have the OEM shocks on it and have NO problems. On or off road. I do plan on getting the Bilsteins next month though, they're only $85 a piece.
