Default Thinking about new tires

My 2006 H3 adventure is getting close to 40,000 miles and still has the original Bridgestone Duelers. They actually have reasonable amount of tread, not all that close to the wear bars. How long did others get out of these tires before replacement? I have a bit of a history of getting rid of tires before I really need to

Aren't the tires typically warranteed up to 60K miles? I suppose it depends on the way you drive. maybe pick up a set of winter tires and keep the old ones for use next summer until they wear out? i have a back up set of tires/wheels that i can switch if need be and this way i do feel like i get all the use out of them....

My original tires still had plenty of life left in them at 40,000 mi. but I wanted new larger size tires. So I bought the new tires and then sold the old ones on Craigslist for $300 because they were still in good shape.
Beats running them down to the point of being worthless unless you are going to replace them with exactly the same tire.

when i bought my 07 at 37k the tires looked good. when i traded it at 57k they looked the same. i dont like the 285s on my 10 adv so im just driving with no rotation, wear them out and get something better.but ill guess at 60++. they seem to wear well on these things.

I am looking for suggestions for replacement tires for my 2006 H3 Luxury w Off road pkg model. Stock 285/75 R16 tires are noisy and I do a fair amount of highway driving so I would like to cut back on highway noise. I like the stance of the 285 but it doesn't seem like there are a lot of options in a load range D tire. Are load range E tires be more of a problem with noise and handling? What tires have any of you switched to and really like?

I kinda wish my tires were wore out so I could justify new ones. Really want to step up to 35" Duratracs. Maybe the stock 33s will really suck when the snow hits and that will be my excuse? Or perhaps one of you nice members will sneak over and slash my tires?

I replaced my stock 285's at about 85K & they still had some tread left. Put on 285 Duratrac's, dramatically better tire all around except:

1. About 1-1 1/2 MPG loss in mileage
2. Slightly noisier than the stock Bridgestone's.

When I am driving on muddy logging roads, I have absolutely no regrets.
