I don't think it's a squirrel. Sounds like a stick. Speeds up with fan speed. Like a playing card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel. I tired comming in from the top outside. Can't reach it. How do I get the fan out from the dash. I've tried finding Haynes book but no luck. Help it's driving the family crazy.

i had some leaves once get in, they dry up and come thru.

I had that EXACT issue, sounds like it is coming from the dash. It turned out to be a cracked manifold. It took the dealership awhile to find it but once they fixed it, the engine sounds great and no more playing cards in the tire spokes sound. It was annoying for a long time!
