Hello, my name is Theo and I finally made this forum's registration although I've red it a lot already. I'm living and working in NY, but I'm going back home, in Brazil. I could just take my flight that is already booked, but I always had this dream of going back home from usa driving. Since I was 19 years old working at the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort in California / Nevada, my dream was to do that. Now I'm 27 and finally got the sponsorship, experience (nothing can prepare you to do that trip, but now I believe I'm more prepared hehe) and a partner to go south, way south.

My plan is to buy a car here and sell it in Brazil or Argentina, whichever pays better. I was confident on buying a Hummer to do that trip, but yesterday I saw that GM cancelled the Hummer brand. I know they did this a long time ago, but I was looking for Jeeps and Land Rovers first, cars that are more common in South America. The thing is: those cars can't be selled for a high price there once you put some mileage on them. Hummers on the other hand can have a pretty high selling price because of his uniqueness.

So my question is: Is still worth to buy a Hummer to do that kind of trip? I know he drinks a lot and from California to the end of Mexico I will most likely don't need the 4x4 capabilities, also it will be harder to ship it from panama to Equador, but the resseling price is very tempting.

Do you think the resseling price will stay high or once it's cancelled it will drop like a rock?

I just can't find a new H3 Alpha to buy. Do anybody know where I can find a new H2 then?
