Any idea why my review mirror would have a telephone wire/connector hanging loose behind it - but I don't see a place to plug it in? There's a place that looks like it goes - but it looks like it's covered by a blank? Thanks

The photo shows a light sensor.
The previous post owner must have had some kind of aftermarket apparatus up there. Not sure what but a "phone line" is not OEM that I have ever seen. I have seen volume controllers, microphones, cameras, etc. that use a "phone line" looking wire.

 

Thanks Tainter. I thought it might go to Onstar, but it's was loose and not part of the normal cable harness that hooks into the back of the mirror. The radio is stock - and not the nav option. Looks like the previous owner added a stand alone backup camera - I'm guessing it might have been for that. As usual - thanks a ton
