Since the site is error'ing when trying to post anything over 2 or 3 lines, I have to post this in multiple posts. I wanted to explain a few points about how this site is managed.

This site is part of a group of forums owned by the same company. Here is the link:

Here you will find that there are many more forums all managed and controlled by the company (not person) who now bought and took ownership of this collection.

This company has it's own actual server and web administrators/programmers that do the maintance on the site. They run over 50 auto forums and web sites, most, if not all, watched over by Patrick.

Patrick does NOT do the actual physical server maintenance and troubleshooting on the server. He has to report the issues to the company's technical I.T. department whom then goes in and fixed the problems.

He is VERY proactive in reporting issues and making it a point to get our issues resolved. The problem is when these issues happen, it usually happens to a handful of forums at once, mainly because there will be multiple forums run off of one server, which means when one doesn't work, most likely the others will follow with the same issues.

Anyway, he's been on them since the beginning to get our forum back up. It's not just us, but many of the forums affiliated with this company are not working either, some are worse then ours.

Just hang in there and let's see if they can get the issues resolved. I'm honestly getting sick of this three or four weeks of nonsense myself, but hopefully they can get the issues fixed. Working in a large I.T. department, I can honestly say I think it's completely unacceptable, but what can we do but hang in there. I don't want to see people leave for good because of a temporary glitch.

Well it is frustrating. My company is not totally dependent on the IT guys like this one is and we could not tolerate this type of business interruption.

I'm not going to sugarcoat things. From being in I.T for 13 years, this is complete BS and totally unacceptable, but we'll just have to wait it out I suppose. Patrick thinks he actually discovered what the problem is, and that's not even his job. He seemed to be able to do more for us then the people who are supposd to.

If I dissappear because of talking crap, so be it.You'll know why I'm getting tired of this as well. In a corporate environment, this lack of competancy wouldn't be tolerated. It's completely unacceptable. Just hang in there. They are actively working on fixing the issues so hopefully slowly but surely everything will be back to normal soon.
