Default TC on or off?

Good morning all of you sick-azz mf'ers!!!! I have a traction control question. I have read a previous post about turning off the TC in the snow. First, how is that done? I looked in the manual, but I couldn't find how to. Second. Why? I'm sure most turn it off to have more control, but doesn't the TC do a good job.

Hold the TC button in for about 5 seconds and it will turn off

Thanks. I'm assuming that this needs to be done everytime the vehicle is started.

I just had my '06 H2 in some significant snow. As outlined in the manual, I used the TC2 function which allows wheel spin in low traction situations. When I had this on, I did not have the standard traction control kick in like it does without the TC2 engaged. I don't know if this is a function on the later models or on all years but it worked great in the snow and in the sand last summer.

..me too..

During snow strom this week pushed the TC2 button while in park. Light flashed for 5-10 seconds and went out. Normal? Does that mean it is working?

no you need to switch to 4 high then you can use the tc2 button and it should stay lit. but if you take it out of 4 high then the tc2 should turn off to.
