Hello, So performance project on the hummer is complete. now its time for some body work. I got some good fuel boost wheels. also none chrome black door handles. I got front grill that is black so it match up. i don't like chrome, the only chrome left that i am struggling with are the mirror covers! i saw some youtube videos where you dip them in a grease removal and that take off the chrome platting. do you recommend this idea?it seems to work good..

also can't find the truck handle in black? where do you find that in black also?

Back handle is the same as all the other handles.

Chrome and yellow doesn't look so good I prefer black and yellow

 

Don't like chrome? Plasti Dip is for you. You Tube has plenty of how to's and what not to do. The stuff has a lot of possibilities.

does anyone know how to take off the mirror covers???

 

No need to remove the cover if you are going to use plastidip. Just use a tape to cover the surrounding area.

 

I prefer taking off chrome first
