Default Taking the H3 to the track...

This might leave most of you scratching your head, but I figured I would have some fun with my H3 tonight. I'm going to take it down the 1/4 mile for a few laughs.

Why? ... Why not!

The reality is that I've never driven a car on a drag strip before, and my other car makes close to 600 hp so it can be more than a handful on the street, so I wanted to familiarize myself with the procedure of everything before I take something I actually have a pretty good chance of messing up.

I'm kinda torn about posting the times that I run on here becaues I know that a lot of people visit this website, just because they hate hummers. I don't want to give them any ammo, but at the same time, I think it would be good for some of us to know just how slow our trucks actually are.

Wish me luck!

Oh.......I forgot to mention, after you run the H3 down the track, you still will not have everdriven a car on a drag strip........ it is a TRUCK.

Let us know how bad it makes out. Any guesses for the 1/4 mile time? Put me down for 15-18 seconds.

Don't forget to incorporate time to stop and get gas!

I know, but it'll help put me at ease. Other car is a 520rwhp 03 cobra. should be good for 11.4-11.8 @ 123-128 mph.

My best guess on what the truck will do is mid 18's @ 80. I wanna see if I can get a 2.4 sec 60' out of her tonight

Make sure you take off any roof racks or cross bars for that extra aero advantage!

Are you going to do a full brake-torque launch?
