Default Synthetic oil verse regular oil

Which is best to run in newer H3 under normal driving conditions. Synthetic is more expensive but requires fewer oil changes.

i like to break in engine with regular oil and then swap over to synthetic after everything has had enough time to seat (rings ) but i think ford supplies new trucks nowadays with syn so maybe im just paranoid

Default new h3,10

im at 850!!wow,first time in 39 yrs.
at 2000 ill dump the factory stuff,? and goto syn.

i still change at 3000 cause i figger its the very best way to waste money!!

some ez numbers; at 4000 miles i use 200 gallons of gas at 2.75 or abt $550. gas wears my engine, so whats 30 bucks to pamper it! abt 5%,,,cheap insurance.

is synth better?,who knows! it claims to be so i spend a buck.

in ten yrs, about $1000 for oil, gas apx $15000

besides i got no wife to throw money at!

tom, gotta go drive

I have always used conventional in my vehicles. IMO it is more how you drive and maintain your vehicle. My dad had a Silverado with 335K miles and all he ever used was Havolive 10W-40.

No big shocker there. All depends on how well u take care of your vehicle. Mileage won't hurt it as long as you keep it serviced. We have an 07 with 80k miles and it doesn't make me think twice about it.

I switched over to synthetic after the first 6k miles on my cars and trucks, I like not having to change it for a long time.

i think it is a "to each his own" kind of thing. i would rather the peace of mind changing it every 3K with conventional.
