I have a 2008 H2 SUT with the tonneau bed cover. Does anyone know the part number for the strut kit? Dealer says about $114 for the set which seems pretty high (naturally). Thanks.

 

I think the dealer is wrong on the price, i contacted the oem supplier for that part, and was informed that replacement gas springs, would be 95.00 EACH...

The part number is C16-23703A 6003

There is a simple fix for the springs on youtube, using pvc pipe, i made my own, lenght is 3 3/4 inch long, how it works is, when you raise thecover the pvc pieces fall into place, between the the two ends, and catches the lip of the larger tube, and holds the cover up...

Cost me, zero, as i had some pvc laying around, check out youtube, you will see what i am referring to...
