Default Superbumper

I just installed the Superbumper and sent photos as requested by the owner of the company. I guess that it will add some protection to the rear of my H3. Anyone else using this? What have you found?

Are you refering to the tubular steel bumper guard? Kinda like a rear bush guard?

If so yry to get your money back, they do next to nothing. There are other alternatives out there, but unless you get a heavy duty bumper than its not going to do anything at all.

Test it out, find a curb or small wall at the same height as your rear bumper, back slowly into it and have a buddy tell you when you bend the bumper guard to the point that it is hitting you bumper... that's how you'll find out that they are junk.

Sorry man, I know your stoaked for your new add on, but Im just giving you the harsh taste of reality. If you'd like I can send you some links to better alternatives.

http://www.superbumper.com/

Above is a link to the Superbumper site and it shows its application. I was trying to cut and paste a copy of the photo I took with it on my H3, but I was not successful in copying and pasting here.

Thank God I was too lazy to remove our hitch when I was done towing last month. A guy just blasted his minivan into the back of our H3 while trying to parallel park last week and the ball hitch saved us from any damage. He did this right in front of us too! What fun is Superbumper if it doesn't make a nice cookie-cutter hole in the offending car's front bumper and grill? LOL

the only thing that I see wrong with it, is that whatever your towing isin't high enough to be level your cargo might fall toward the back of the trailer

Yeah doesn't look as bad as I thought it would... Though the 2009 Rod Hall Sema trucks has a pre runner bar in the rear that I like better... But I don't think it's a production model yet

that would give peace of mind in traffic with a light bump. I had a buddy make me one kind of like that for my jeep once but had him put a poly wheel on it so I didnt drag my bumper off of stair step offroad situations. It just rolled off. Wish I still had it now.
